Fifth successive Mercedes-Benz victory in home race at Hockenheim.

Jamie Green (AMG Mercedes C-Class) won the 2011 DTM season finale at Hockenheim by 7.6 seconds from Martin Tomczyk (Audi) after starting from second place on the grid. It was Green’s seventh DTM victory and his second at Hockenheim. This was the 17th podium for the British driver, his sixth in a DTM race at Hockenheim and podium number 480 for a DTM driver at this track.

just one thousandth of a second off pole.

Bruno Spengler (Mercedes-Benz Bank AMG C-Class) will start the eighth race of the 2011 DTM season at Oschersleben on Sunday (start: 13:00 BST, live on ARD television from 13:45 BST onwards) as the best-placed Mercedes-Benz driver from second position on the grid. Spengler set a time of 1:22.372 minutes in the shoot-out at the end of qualifying – he was only one thousandth of a second behind polesetter Miguel Molina (Audi) at the 3.696 km Oschersleben circuit.

Fourth pole of the season for Bruno Spengler

Bruno Spengler will start from pole position at the Norisring.

Bruno Spengler (Mercedes-Benz Bank AMG C-Class) will start tomorrow’s race at the Norisring from pole position. The Canadian drove a lap of 48.222s in the final shoot-out segment of qualifying. It is his eleventh DTM pole and his third on the Nuremburg street circuit. It also represents the 109th pole position overall for Mercedes-Benz in the series and the 13th at this circuit. The fifth race of the 2011 DTM season will be shown live from 12.45pm CET on ARD.

Ralf Schumacher starts from third place in Spielberg-Austria

Ralf Schumacher (Salzgitter AMG Mercedes C-Class) will start the third round of the 2011 DTM season on Sunday in Spielberg as the best-placed Mercedes-Benz driver in P3. Schumacher posted a time of 1:40.587 in the single lap session at the end of a rain-soaked qualifying session. With a lap of 1:38.685, Maro Engel (GQ AMG Mercedes C-Class) secured the sixth-best time in the second part of qualifying and missed out on top 4 qualifying by just 25 thousandths of a second.
