Automobile manufacturer Carlsson introduces two new vehicle models based on the Mercedes-Benz CLS (type C 218) and the Mercedes Benz SLK (R172). They have been built as right-hand drive models upon the request of an English aristocratic family at Carlsson’s manor house “Gut Wiesenhof” in Merzig, Germany.
So much luxury fits into only 2.70 metres: The automobile manufacturer Carlsson turns the practical Smart Fortwo Coupé (type 451) into an individual, classy car for the necessities of urban living. LED daytime running lights, high-quality aerodynamic parts, Carlsson light alloy wheels as well as exclusive interior refinements make this winning model unique.
The new aerodynamics package RS, honed to perfection in the wind tunnel, forms the basis of the special edition for the Chinese market and allows the Carlsson CGL45 to express its characteristic style. The widened wheel arches emphasise its markedly sporty presence. The front spoiler and the chrome-finished radiator grille with the Carlsson horse underline its dominating presence. The LED daytime running lights in the front spoiler lip cleverly round off the Carlsson CGL45 lighting concept – these can equally be used as position lights at night. The rear view is defined by the new rear skirt which leaves room for the four oval stainless steel exhaust pipes of the sport rear silencer. All Carlsson accessories are manufactured of high quality PUR-Rim and impress users with their fitting accuracy and paintability.
Sporty yet fit for everyday use: With the Carlsson Lifttronic®, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and its open roadster version can be raised by 40 millimetres at both axles at the push of a button, allowing the supercar to easily get over underground car park exits, speed bumps or rough level crossings without damaging the front apron or the car’s underbody.
Two seats, a long bonnet, short overhangs, an open top and the engine in just the right place. With the new SLK, Mercedes-Benz presents what is probably the finest roadster in its history. Yet Carlsson still finds numerous ways to personalise the car’s interior and exterior and to leave its own unique mark on its dynamism and style.
